The Silverado 1500 Overview

From the turbocharged 2.7-liter engine to the powerful 6.2-liter V8 engine, power is all available in plenty. One of the engine options available for 2021 includes a turbo diesel 3.0-liter engine. With a horsepower production of 277 and 460 pound-feet of torque, this engine is powerful and quiet and can tow up to 9,500 pounds.
Another engine option is the EcoTec3 6.2-liter V8 engine that comes with fuel management systems. With 420 horsepower, the engine can tow up to 13,300 pounds and gets 460 pound-feet of torque. There is also a 5.3-liter engine with two distinct variants. The first option consists of the V8 engine bearing an active fuel management feature. This engine has a horsepower production of 355 and a torque of 383 pound-feet. It mates to an automatic six-speed transmission.
The second powertrain of the engine is a V8 EcoTec3 with dynamic fuel management. The engine mates to an automatic eight-speed transmission with an available ten-speed transmission on High Country and Trail Boss models. A V6 EcoTec3 engine of 4.3-liter gives the car system horsepower of 285. Standard on the Trail Bos, Custom, and WT models, the engine bears an active fuel management system and gets a torque rating of 305 pound-feet.
Closing the list is a turbocharged 2.7-liter engine with a fuel management system. This engine bears the start and stop technology and mated to an automatic eight-speed transmission. It churns out a horsepower rating of 310 and a torque rating of 348 pound-feet.
Safety and Security

These features include automatic emergency braking with a forward collision alert.
